Preservation of heritage surfaces is always a priority. Typical treatments vary from careful cleaning and consolidation of fragile surfaces to the delicate retrieval of an original gilded or painted surface from beneath layers of later gilding, which can obscure original fine detail.
Emma often collaborates with Hester Woodcarvers and together they specialise in making carving and gilded repairs and matching in the new to any style or original surface.
